Project Details

Hotel Kabiros Neighborhood Egypt 2020

DESCRIPTION

The hotel is inserted into the existing fabric of the Egipto neighborhood, on the fringes of the city's historic core.

It activates the street edge and mediates between different heights, bridging scales and opening the building toward the landscape. The ground floor is freed up as a system of gardens at varying levels: platforms that offer views of the mountain while simultaneously creating a public threshold: a lounge area, a café, and a terrace.

On the upper levels, two bedroom blocks are connected by a central body that organizes circulation and views. Various typologies adapt to the slope and the conditions of the site's edge.

An architecture that does not replace, but rather continues the fabric, refining it and making it more porous.
