Founded in Bogotá in 2007, Yemail is an architecture, research and design practice, that develops projects in Colombia and other Ibero-american countries. The office works at multiple scales and formats, from homes and work spaces to museums, exhibitions, installations, publishing publications, and urban transformation processes. Our practice is based on interdisciplinary collaboration and the combination of research, design and construction as project complementary tools.
We are interested in architecture as a form of adaptation and repair, able to respond to the present environmental, social and cultural changes. Through reuse, rehabilitation, construction of new infrastructures, and the activation of existing spaces, we explore ways of extending the life of resources and strengthen the relationship between communities, territories and ecosystems.
The office's work has been recognized at national and international biennials and published in various specialized media.
