Balance in game – Furniture 2023

DESCRIPTION

Equilibrio en juego (Balance in game) is the same but different. Material in its purest form. A toy linked to reality. A work that is simultaneously ephemeral and permanent. Something that is more about participation than contemplation. Both more and less than an object. A concrete form. A personal commitment to a triangle. To connection. A declaration of love for the city.

Something open to permeation. It is the passage of time. Something that moves without moving. Sometimes a bench, sometimes a stair. A modular concept in the courtyard of a house designed by Jacques Mosseri. A record of the exhibition El Fin del Afán, curated by Liliana Andrade at Galería SN La Macarena in 2024. A red-green-red sequence in the courtyard of Proyecto Binario. A prototype of a prototype. An empty shell. A piece in a garden.

We are talking about a set of stackable pieces that evoke Matryoshka dolls, the weight of things, and intergenerational objects.
