Proclima Offices 2021

DESCRIPTION

Proclima is the renovation of a former corporate office. The project explores the possibility of transforming a workspace into a more unhurried, domestic, and flexible place, where tranquility ceases to be a secondary atmosphere and instead becomes a core design criteria.

The intervention begins by clearing the existing space. Gaining height, incorporating the "scars", exposing the structure, and allowing natural light to reorder the interior experience. Walls are cleared to open up the connection to the panoramic window and the morning light, creating an office that feels more like a living space than a conventional workspace.

The program centers on a wood-clad service block that houses the bathroom, kitchenette, and support functions. This element organizes the floor plan without fragmenting it, allowing the rest of the space to remain open, continuous, and adaptable to various work, meeting, and day-to-day operational needs.

The material accompanies that condition. A continuous hardwood floor, low baseboards, warm lighting, softened corners, and small metal fixtures with organic edges create a scale that feels closer to the body.
