DETAILS

MICSUR Cultural Industries Market Pavilion

MICSUR aims to create and consolidate a platform for the exchange, visibility, promotion, circulation, and commercialization of goods and services produced by the cultural and creative industries of South America. Within this framework, the project involved the architectural design of the commercial spaces for the ten participating countries, including furniture, lighting, and interior landscaping, as well as an information point, auditorium, enclosure for the business roundtables, and the overall setting of the main stage. The proposal was developed according to criteria of functionality, reuse, aesthetic experience, and flexibility across different formats of use.

Based on a preliminary scheme that translated the geography of the South American continent into the arrangement of each country’s pavilion, MICSUR established a guideline of maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all stands. Particular emphasis was placed on the use and material quality of reusable and/or recycled components, which could be repurposed after the event was dismantled.
