Instalación La Vuelta Feria Editorial 2021

Project Details

La Vuelta Editorial Fair Installation 2021

DESCRIPTION

The Fair’s display units and furnishings were crafted from reused materials salvaged from past projects and were subsequently dismantled to become part of future ones. By repurposing the material, it allows various elements to combine and form new characters that tell a story woven with colorful threads: the old structure of a staircase creates a new memory: positioned horizontally, it serves as the backbone of “Poeta,” creating nooks for display; meanwhile, windows that once offered an outward view now reveal layers of letters, colors, engravings, and prints, coming together to form “Ensayista”.

A mound of clay blocks gives rise to “Narrador,” responsible for setting the mood in reading and leisure areas; built-in stairs sprout limbs, ceasing to serve as a means of ascent or descent, to take the form of “Novela”; two boards leaning against each other bring “La Autora” to life, a figure tasked with showcasing independent titles; a pair of sheets form support structures; and finally, there is “Tertulia,” a structure that presents a selection of books to future readers.
